The group Save Madison Valley will hold a community meeting on Saturday, June 18 to inform, educate, and motivate their neighborhood about the Design Review process for a mega-development slated for the area.
A proposed giant building will eliminate an entire hillside, replacing it with a 65-foot wall, and bringing light, noise, and traffic to a previously peaceful neighborhood. See our video of the group’s walking presentation. See the group’s blog post about the development.
The community meeting will take place June 18 at 4:00 PM, at the FAME Community Center Auditorium, 3201 E. Republican St. Former City Councilmember and renowned architect Peter Steinbrueck (who is working with the group) will speak about the Design Review process and explain how members of the community can participate. All are welcome to attend.
The first Design Review meeting for the proposed development will take place July 27.
